Week 1 results, and the fall of Sam Bradford

I wanted to share this comment from "Married Guys Sports" co-host Jesse Martineau:

Ok, funny as usual, but 2 major issues:
1.) Where is the Temple football analysis?
2.) Whenever you mention Chip Kelly you are obligated to refer to him in this way, "Native of Manchester, New Hampshire and former Physical Education teacher at St. Joseph Junior High School, Chip Kelly"

Sorry, Jesse. I forgot that with you now at Temple Law School, and getting your first taste of college football, I should at least make mention of the gridiron powerhouse that is the Temple Owls. Second, I didn't realize that Manchester, NH had anyone in major DI/pro athletics besides Steve "Bye Bye" Balboni. I figured Manch-vegas only gave us funny Jews like Adam Sandler and Sarah Silverman. I won't let it happen again.

With that out of the way, I'm not sure what is more embarrassing - me going 2-3 on the season opener (including totally misplaying the 14 point spread on the Notre Dame game, and second-guessing myself to the point where I thought Penn State would cover) or Sam Bradford getting knocked out of the game by BYU. Aren't the Mormons supposed to be nonviolent or something? That or have a bunch of wives. Sorry, I flunked Western religions. Either way, I'm sure no one in the Zambuto family is happy about this turn of events - or the fact that I'm posting this photo:

Whatever - its early, Texas isn't for another six weeks, and by losing to BYU, you're not exactly a huge step behind USC and Florida in the "non-Texas Teams Going to the National Championship Sweepstakes." Calm down - you still have the Yankees, you whiny b**ches.

Week 1: 2-3
2009 Season: 2-3
